Jonny's Fatboy Burger ($18)
Texas style spicy beef chili, crispy bacon, onions, pickle relish, mayo, lettuce, tomato and American mustard.

If you are not looking for this place you can easily walk straight past it. This small space has been transformed into an American diner, complete with an authentic American chef. As well as burgers, there are chicken wings, waffles, ribs, and corn dogs. You can wash you meal down with a Dr Pepper, Root Beer or choose from a range of American beers. My burger was accompanied by a Brooklyn Lager.
The fatboy is a big burger. The beef patty was topped with a spicy chili mince, so there was plenty of beef on this burger. I can't comment on most of the ingredients in this burger, the spicy beef chili and mustard was about all i could taste. Fortunately, the spicy beef chili was good. The best way i can describe the taste, it's like a soft Mexican taco with mustard.
Kim loves her chili, so I'm sure the spicy beef chili was mild enough for her to taste all the ingredients.
If you are a homesick American, this place will make you feel right at home.
P.S. The Brooklyn Lager was good.

After maybe 20 minutes of wondering around looking for the café – thanks to Paul’s fantastic navigation skills…I thought to myself, this place better be worth it!
The restaurant is fairly small, but that didn’t affect the quality of the food. Having said that, there is a bit of a wait for the burgers to come out, but I guess that’s probably because we arrived after the peak lunch rush so maybe they already sent some of the cooks off for a snooze.
I had Jonny’s Fatboy Burger with sweet potato chips on the side ($18). YUM!I really enjoyed my burger today. It was great. First bite & I was eager for more.I thought the burger was well made, nice patty & plenty of sauce and just the right amount of fillings! It does remind me of having tacos, but I love tacos so hey why not have it with my burger? As always, the advertised spicy/chilli is never hot enough for me. But that's fine - the little spice that was there was good.
The only downside - I regret not being able to eat all my sweet potato chips - mainly because the burger is SOOOOO filling!
If ever I was in the area, I’d definitely drop in for a burger!

The ‘Backyard BBQ Beef burger’ was a decent sized burger with bacon, homemade smoky BBQ sauce, tomato, lettuce, coleslaw on a toast sesame bun and served with a choice of either sweet potatoes or chips.
When the burger arrived to the table I couldn’t wait to dig into it because our reservation was for 1.30pm.
The patty was nicely cooked and the smell of the smoky BBQ sauce was great, but I can’t say that I’ve ever tried a burger with coleslaw - i guess there’s always a first time for everything.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this burger which cost $17 which included the sweet potatoes on the side.

This diner is tiny, tucked away on Crown Street - if you blink you will miss this place but the burgers really standout.
I had the Backyard BBQ Beef Burger and the combination of homemade smoky BBQ sauce, bacon, coleslaw, lettuce & tomato was a little different and really worked.
The change from the norm was refreshing and I would definitely go back to try another burger on the menu.
